What is Chalk Paint?

Chalk paint is the perfect paint for new or old furniture and home decor items because it can be used on nearly any surface (raw or finished wood, plastics, glass, ceramics, metal, laminate etc.) It is thick and creamy, covers well and is easy to sand, distress and layer colors. Simply paint, sand corners and edges if desired and wax or seal.

Webster’s is a chalk paint addative that you mix into your choice of acrylic flat or low sheen paint brand and color. The difference in Webster’s and the recipes for homemade chalk paints that you find online is -1. There is no grit or lumps; 2. Websters is non-toxic and contains no carcinogens.

An awesome factor to mixing your own chalk paint is that you only need to mix up as much as you need for each project. A little chalk paint goes a long way!. A 500ml sample size tin of paint will cover up to 3-4 medium sized pieces of furniture. A bag of Webster’s Chalk Paint Powder contains enough powder for one litre of paint.
