L'essentiel Beeswax - Clear

L’essentiel Beeswax Polish is 100% Australian, family owned and handmade. The ingredients are cosmetic grade, eco friendly and the packaging is recyclable. This beautiful wax is lightly scented in lavender and pear and this delicious fragrance will linger on your finished pieces long after they have been waxed!

This is a solvent-free wax which will not turn painted pieces yellow, it provides a safe and natural protective finish for painted pieces which have been finished in a porous paint such as chalk paint or milk paint. For best results lightly sand the surface with a fine or medium sanding sponge to create "tooth" and something for the wax to sink into. Apply with a wax brush or rag, leave for 15-30 minutes and buff. This wax can be layered, and creates a subtle satin sheen. *For a higher shine, consider using the 'Lustre' wax.

"Our objective was to create a finishing polish that was durable, solvent and toxic free and skin-safe, a product that was able to be used on a vast array of items. With mindsets changing and a greener approach, I had spoken to many Furniture Upclyclers who had suffered from skin problems of one kind or another with the general finishing products available and those who also had health concerns. With such a trend in upcycling of furniture and goods I wanted to create something that was fantastic for us girls to use and something that the boys could still use.
Our waxes are safe to use on cutting boards, children's toys, timber bench tops, cabinetry, decorative painted surfaces and much more.( I use my Lustre as a lip balm and also sometimes on my hands as a Barrier)
