About Webster's Chalk paint powder:
What is Chalk Paint?
Chalk paint is the perfect paint for new or old furniture and home decor items because it can be used on nearly any surface (raw or finished wood, plastics, glass, ceramics, metal, laminate etc.) It is thick and creamy, covers well and is easy to sand, distress and layer colors. Simply paint, sand corners and edges if desired and wax or seal.

What is Webster’s Chalk Paint Powder?
Webster’s is a chalk paint addative that you mix into your choice of acrylic flat or low sheen paint brand and color. The difference in Webster’s and the recipes for homemade chalk paints that you find online is -1. There is no grit or lumps; 2. Websters is non-toxic and contains no carcinogens.

An awesome factor to mixing your own chalk paint is that you only need to mix up as much as you need for each project. A little chalk paint goes a long way!. A 500ml sample size tin of paint will cover up to 3-4 medium sized pieces of furniture. A bag of Webster’s Chalk Paint Powder contains enough powder for one litre of paint.

About L'essentiel wax:
L’essentiel Beeswax Polish is 100% Australian, family owned and handmade. The ingredients are cosmetic grade, eco friendly and the packaging is recyclable. This beautiful wax is lightly scented in lavender and pear and this delicious fragrance will linger on your finished pieces long after they have been waxed!

This is a solvent-free wax which will not turn painted pieces yellow, it provides a safe and natural protective finish for painted pieces which have been finished in a porous paint such as chalk paint or milk paint. For best results lightly sand the surface with a fine or medium sanding sponge/ paper to create "tooth" and something for the wax to sink into. Apply with a wax brush or rag, leave for 15-30 minutes and buff. This wax can be layered, and creates a subtle satin sheen.
Clear wax - use to simple seal, intensify colour and protect painted finishes. Gives a soft matte finish that is smooth to touch.

Dark wax - use to create depth and character, apply it to crevices and corners using a small wax brush or lint free cloth.

Lustre - for those wanting a higher sheen to their finish, use this gorgeous wax which has a pearlised finish.

I am also happy to email my workshop notes which give a detailed explanation of how to refurbish furniture, including supplies and tools needed for different techniques. Message me if you would like these.
